Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, authoritative Word of God (Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12).

We believe that there is one God, creator of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6; Isaiah 45:18).

We believe that God is the eternal, unchanging all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfectly Holy, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe (Genesis 1:1; 1 Chronicles 29:11-12; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:21-28; Colossians 1:16-17)

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, both fully human and fully divine, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, who lived a perfect life, and shed His blood on the cross as the only ransom for sinners. He was bodily resurrected from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven where he reigns as Savior and Lord (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 2:22; 1 John 2:1-2; Hebrews 1:2-4).

We believe that all men and women are lost and face the judgment of God and that full justification is freely offered to all sinful men and women who repent, and put their faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation and the only mediator between God and humanity (Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling presence and transforming power gives new life to all believers, enables personal change, empowers Christian community, and inspires obedient service and sacrifice (John 14:26; Romans 8:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Titus 3:5; Acts 2:38-47).

We believe in the future return of Jesus Christ, who will personally return to judge all people with justice and mercy. The redeemed will be saved unto eternal life and the unrepentant will be lost unto eternal damnation (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 10:41-42; John 5:24-25; John 3:36; Romans 6:23).

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ calls all believers, the holy church, to preach the Gospel, care for the needy and strive for social justice (John 1:12; Galatians 3:27-28; Ephesians 4:25; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15; Isaiah 58:6-9; Matthew 25:34-40; Revelation 20:11-15).

We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15).

We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God created marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. We believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9).

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31, Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10).
